My name is John Silvagni and I am the Civil War specialist for Time-Line Enterprises. My experience with the civil war is vast and I have had a great opportunity to work with many experts in this field. I have reenacting experience with a couple of different organizations and draw a lot of my knowledge from there. I have a majority of my experience with the Artillery working with both 12 pound Field Howitzers and 10 pound Parrot Rifles. I also have experience with the infantry on both sides of the war. My beliefs for reenacting is that you do everything to the best of your ability to be historically accurate and play a first person character. After all a reenactment is a movie or play that the audience is able to walk through and feel what life was like at that time. I always strive to be the best at reenacting and will always accept knowledge from where ever we are able to get it from. I am hoping that we have many other people interested in the victorian era so that we may succeed in being the best. Not only is my interest in the military history but also on the civilian side. I love to take part in victorian barn dances and balls as well as the lifestyle of sitting around the fire and telling stories, singing songs, and bonding over fresh cooking. The respect and the was people spoke to each other is what made me the most interested in this time era. In my opinion it is the most romantic era in American History.
